Lecture - Ideas workshop

Updated: Nov 25, 2020

Wednesday 18th November

In todays lectures we talked through everyone's chosen idea.

The idea I chose was Pre-School - Don't Be Scared Duckling as it felt like the one I felt more confident with, could convey best and the story was the most fleshed out.

Everyone liked my idea and agreed it would work well as a moving part story book, or a kids TV series, which is great and I didn't get many notes for improvement which is encouraging that what I have learnt on story telling so far has sunk in.

I enjoy this because I love hearing every ones ideas and helping come up with content for anything that might be missing in their story as well as getting feedback for my own stories as I had some sections that weren't as fleshed out as I would have like and this session definitely helped with that.

Everyone's ideas were so different and the genre choices were great and really opened up the genre pairing pool so to speak with all the random combos that people discovered.

I found this session helpful because It pointed out any flaws in my work that needed to be fixed at the same time as highlighting the areas that worked well for me.

And Gerald pointed out that I tend to pic pre-school ideas which was interesting as I hadn't realized.
