Monday 7th December

In todays session we had a tutorial for TV paint.

This was our first session and was an initial overview of the software, how it worked and some of its main features.

The software has some great features for storyboarding and turning those story boards in to an animatic. After the session I had a little pay with the software myself and found I ran in to snags very quickly and couldn't find how to fix them.

I will have to ask about these in the next session.

After playing with the software a bit I feel I wont be using it during my time at uni. The software is very expensive even with discounts and the time it will take me to just learn the software will take a lot of time away from my current work, putting more pressure on me later on.

I currently have a method of storyboarding and making animatic that works well for me and because I'm use to it, its much quicker so will be sticking to this for now.

However In the future I may revisit TV Paint when I have more time to learn it, watch tutorials etc as It does seem to be a useful tool.
